BBC.com has launched a new, New York-based automotive site. The new effort from the UK publishing giant is designed to be “an entertaining, insightful daily read.” Content will focus on design, technology, community and culture while drawing inspiration from the broadcasting company’s already successful automotive efforts. Those include Top Gear as well as BBC News and BBC Sport. Much of the site’s content seems to have been lifted from those sources, though original pieces will be part of the recipe moving forward.
Here in the states, the sites launch has been supported by Cadillac, and BBC says fans will be able to interact with the site through a variety of social media channels. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the new BBC Autos for a closer look.
